Old Broads Just Having Fun
They come from Vermont, Pennsylvania, Nova Scotia, etc., and some are year-round residents of Isla Del Sol. But they all get together during the first week of November each year to have some fun. They dress alike and typically just “drop in” at a local spot, like a “flash mob.” Pat Kantz, Jan Wilson and Diane Rattay of Isla Del Sol are the idea starters for the group and coordinate what they all wear. On Saturday, November 5, the group just “popped in” at  our Post 305. Their coordinated outfits were as “RN” but not “Registered Nurse.” Instead the RN stands for “Redefining Normal.” One other time, the group popped in at our Post dressed as the Blues Brothers, complete with fedoras, dark suits and dark glasses.

As a visitor to Post 305 I have to say it has to be one of the most friendly from a visitor’s view. Pennie North and the bar staff remember visitors year after year; I myself for over 20 years.

To all Post members, I say give your Post the support it deserves. Drop by for a cold one and meet friends. For the February-March vacation I am in St. Pete Beach I visit at least once a day. Just say hello or enjoy steak night and Joe Capri sure does a job with the grill.

I also took in the Massing Of The Colors. Post 305 looked sharp! So take my suggestion. Drop by.
